Ann: on Thursday I drove to Marblehead to meet friends for lunch. So, at the V I stole a look down your way, saw your house and thought of the wonderful visits I had there. You and I are similarly attached to the sea. Hugs, Melissa

Ah, Judith, I am so delighted to hear from you after writing this post. To lose the vitality of our ocean is simply beyond my capacity to imagine, yet I fear we are destroying this natural treasure. Your encouraging feedback warms my heart.

When I lived in LA, I travelled up the coast to Monterey and took in its splendor! Hope to again, though not sure my fast-paced book journey will allow me time for such a trip.

Thank you for sharing your ocean passion, I share it as well here in Nahant, and having grown up a small seaside town. Stunning photo, too. ❤️

The opening tugged at my heart. You know I lived 10 yrs in Swampscott with the Atlantic as my backyard. Your comments bringing back memories of the gift I treasured. It’s where I went every day after work to replenish my soul and lift my spirits. There’s nothing better than living near the ocean.

Thanks so much for this post. So many of us, like you, feel that ocean restores our souls. Yet, we don't take any action to do something about the critical issues you describe. I commit to take one action today to hopefully make a difference in the life of these coral reefs. Your description of the problems are vivid and devastating. Thanks again for your words of wisdom.
